The University of London Air Squadron has a thriving ex-Members
Association. Membership is open to all former members of the
squadron, staff and students, in both flying and ground branches.
The most senior association members were in ULAS before 1939,
and each year our numbers grow as ULAS members leave the Air
Squadron and university to start their careers.
The association
exists to enable former members to keep in touch, both with
one another and with the current activities and successes
of the squadron. A newsletter is published twice a year, and
this web-site offers password-protected access to members
messages, association notices and details of forthcoming activities.
Each year brings a number of reunions which take the form
of visits to the squadron, fly-ins to airfields
around London from which ULAS used to operate, and annual
dinners at the RAF Club in London for groups of members from
different decades.
All former
members of ULAS are invited to join the association. Membership
is just £5 per year by Direct Debit. Former ULAS members
who wish to join are invited to contact the Chairman, Alan
Tipper, at tipperag@btinternet.com
